Hii Clare!!! I just REread Icarus Falling and how do I begin to express how much i LOVED IT? I cannot believe how bloody HOT angry James is?? Like ooooff what a smoke show 🥵 'He rolled each sleeve up to the elbow. “We’ve got work to do' When I tell u this line made me fucking stop and stare, u best believe it!!! Like many others, I too am a huge slut for how he refers to Lily as his wife constantly...I didn't know I needed this so badly lol . Aggressive Order!James is literally perfection. I also LOVE that she had been saying his name even in her sleep....gosh that's so tender and such a testament to their deep love for each other 😭 I also I really love your Sirius SO MUCH....I love the lines where him and James are referred to as brothers + the 'Sirius is missing his sister' line' 😭😭 it really played into my beloved HC that towards the end of 6th year, Sirius was coming back to the Gryffindor CR after a particularly heated argument w Regulus regarding his nefarious activities and walked in on Lily sobbing due to some Petunia bs . Due to having caught each other in a moment of vulnerability, they ended up having a long heart to heart till the sunrise (love a good metaphor) This gave Lily an insight into the marauders especially James and how caring, loyal and protective he is of his friends etc & she starts to see him in a different light (she also had heard good things about him from Remus). Thereafter, Sirily go from acquaintances to friends (close to jily dating ) to as good as siblings eventually after losing Petunia and Reg. I've always loved the idea of them finding solace in each other as they have felt the pain of losing a sibling so acutely and love James so fiercely. (Sirily my beloved BroTP ❤) And to see Prongsfoot so upset over her absence made me so emotional...

Anyway , im so sorry this is v long but this fic has released serotonin straight into my brain and I am all up in my feels lol. So thank you for writing this !!! Truly, I could never properly explain how much joy it brings me (and many others obvi) I'm going to read this so many times over (and try to get my friends to read it too lol)

I also love your headcanon! So, in Bond and Free ch2, I actually (don’t think this is a spoiler lol?) have an incredibly similar situation happen HAHA except instead of Sirius it’s James, but we do get insight into how similar Lily and Sirius are - which I think is very very similar tyvm!!!
